Needless to say, I was rather down last night. It wasn't just what had happened at school, I was tired after a very busy week and I think my hormones were ganging up on me too.
Anyway, the combined power of fajitas for dinner and a bottle of red wine in front of the TV really helped to raise my mood and I slept really well last night.
We were up at around 8 today 'cos we had a lot to do. Various shopping trips had to be fitted around Jamie's swimming lesson but we did well and we've started getting things together for his birthday party next weekend. It's going to have a superhero theme so I've been busy printing off mask templates and various colouring-in sheets for everyone. I hope the sun shines so we can have some outside activities too!
This being a Bank Holiday weekend for us *woohoo* I've been trying to get some work done today so I can work towards having nothing to do on Monday, I'd love us to be able to have a family day
I've done a load of Science planning and caught up on the pile of homework that needed to be marked, now I just have 18 Maths assessments to mark and then I can start thinking about the horror of SATs week next week *argh*
I'm going to do my best not to take what happened on Friday personally, I don't think it was meant that way at all. I just have to accept that there are things going on in people's lives that they don't necessarily want to share with everyone. It's not the first time I've fallen into the trap of thinking she's a closer friend than she is - she was one of those who couldn't be bothered coming to my 30th birthday party last year...
... anyway, I'm doing my best to rise above it all ![]()
Happy Barrowday / Saturday everyone!
