Not done much this week apart from taking the kids to basketball club each afternoon. They're really enjoying it but have become completely fixated on winning one of the small plastic basketballs that the leader has been giving out as prizes, they've both been in tears about it
I had a quick word with one of the team on our way out this afternoon, mentioning how much they would like one and suggesting that they could perhaps earn one for the effort they've been putting in... didn't want to come across as a pushy parent but I felt something needed to be said. Tomorrow's the last session so if they don't get one you'll probably be able to hear the tantrums from the UK ![]()
This club has been great at keeping the boys busy and wearing them out. It's so hard keeping them amused in the holidays without any kind of garden. I could take them to our plot but technically it's not actually ours yet.... if it ever happens... don't get me started on that topic!
The club's also been good to give me some space, I've been sitting myself in the bleachers while they've been having their fun and have worked my way through 2 books
I've rather enjoyed them - the 1st and 2nd in the 'Viking' trilogy by Tim Severin - so I've just ordered the 3rd one from Amazon ![]()
Been feeling much more positive about the whole exercise / healthy eating thing this week. I've really started to notice a difference in myself, I've dropped a couple of pounds and have toned up quite a bit already. I've promised myself that I'll keep doing the DVD each week-day until we go to Ireland in just over a month and will keep eating well in the week, allowing myself a little more slack at the weekends. I will fit into my dress!
I'm really looking forward to the wedding itself, especially 'cos I've got myself booked in for a hair-cut on that morning - I'm going to have lovely new hair with my fab dress *yay*
Okay, enough waffling, the kids need to be put to bed, just wanted to say "Hi"... even if I took a long time to say it

I love weddings!! Bet it's gonna be fab
